As a founder of Quadra Global Capital Corp. I have been in Private Equity for the past 23 years. I have made over 30 investments across a diverse range of industries including: real estate, manufacturing, technology, media, travel, restaurant/retail, construction, security, cyber-security and mining, to name but a few. I also have helped to take 3 companies public and have raised millions of dollars for numerous companies.
I have been formally educated at some of the best institutions in the world, including university of Oxford. However, have become disenchanted with the education system as it has unfortunately failed us. Students are coming out of school with no competitive advantage, no idea how to 'feed themselves' in the real world and typically with a considerable debt load. Not a good way to start off in the world! The best education I have received has come in the real world - by nearly 2 decades worth of doing deals, making costly mistakes and creating 'hacks' to find more efficient ways of solving problems. I continue to do deals on a full-time basis and mentor and advise select entrepreneurs and corporates with knowledge share and transfer in the M&A space.
Meanwhile, as a published author I am lecturing globally on the topic of SME Mergers and Acquisitions; advising numerous individuals and corporations on accelerated growth via acquisition.
In my spare time, I am working on my second book, am an avid reader, a somewhat decent chess player and am constantly searching for the best plate of pasta I have yet to devour (hope my wife won`t read this).
I am Canadian by background, live life on my terms and split time between homes in Vancouver and London.
